We live in a world that’s quick to measure people by outcomes. Wins. Losses. What you have to show for yourself. And when life hasn’t gone the way you hoped, it’s easy to let disappointment decide what you believe is possible.
That’s why moments like yesterday matter. The Chicago Bears beating the Green Bay Packers wasn’t just about football. It was about perspective. Long history. Plenty of frustration. Years of being told, maybe next time. And then suddenly, the script changes. Not because the past disappeared, but because it didn’t get the final word.
That’s how faith often shows up in real life too. Not polished. Not loud. Sometimes it starts as a quiet decision to stay in the game even after disappointment has trained you to expect less. Doubt doesn’t disqualify you. It just tells the story of someone who’s been through something and is still standing.
We get into trouble when we start interpreting God through the lens of our worst experiences. When we assume delay means denial or silence means absence. But unfinished doesn’t mean forgotten. And imperfect faith is still faith.
Sometimes confidence isn’t bravado. It’s choosing not to quit on what God started, even when you don’t fully understand how it will end. It’s trusting that the same hand that began the work is still involved, still present, still capable.
So if life has laughed at you a little lately, don’t count yourself out. Stories turn. Momentum shifts. And what once felt impossible can still surprise you.
Have some confidence. The game isn’t over yet.
