This morning’s message made me think about the world we are living in right now. Everywhere we look, people are trying to make sense of the headlines in front of them. News about conflict, rising costs, job concerns, and global tension has become part of daily life. It wears on the mind. It presses on the heart. Many people are trying to stay hopeful while carrying more than they ever expected.
Israel once stood on the shore and saw the Egyptians lying on the sand. They finally understood what God had carried them through. They were looking at the evidence of His protection. That moment showed them that even when fear surrounded them, God had already made a way.
When we pause long enough, we can see the same truth in our own lives. God has brought us through things we did not think we would survive. He has given us strength on days when we had nothing left. He has given us peace when fear tried to take over. Provision has come from places we never saw coming. Everything we have is still a gift from Him. We truly have come this far by faith.
We have laughed again. We have learned again. We have grown because His Word has kept us grounded. Scripture tells us about seasons of waiting and stretching. Forty days. Forty nights. Forty years. Time that felt long but shaped God’s people in ways they could not see at first. Many of us are in seasons like that now, learning to trust God in the middle of uncertainty.
Even with everything happening around us, God continues to lift us. He continues to remind us that He is for us. Just like Israel on that shore, we can look back and see the battles we survived, the doors He opened, and the moments when grace held us together.
Look how far He has brought us.
And He is not finished.
