Beyond Our Pain

There’s a blessing waiting beyond the pain, even when it doesn’t feel like it. In Mark 5, a woman who had been suffering for years reached out just to touch Jesus’ robe. She had tried everything else and nothing worked. That story feels familiar right now. So many people are struggling to hold on. Jobs are disappearing. Benefits are being cut. Prices keep rising, and the weight of it all can leave you feeling powerless.

It’s easy to lose faith when life keeps handing you disappointment. But the truth is, we can’t fix everything that happens in our homes or in the world around us. We can’t control what our children face or how life changes overnight. What we can do is invite Jesus back into the middle of it. That’s where the healing starts. Pride tells us to keep pretending we’re fine. Faith says, “Lord, I need You.”

Even in good times, trouble can find its way in. Prosperity doesn’t make us immune to pain. Sometimes God’s timing feels slow, but a delay isn’t a denial. He’s still working, even when we can’t see it. Fear wants to convince us that all hope is lost, but faith reminds us that the story isn’t over. You can’t hold both at the same time. Fear will tell you to give up, but faith says, “Keep believing.”

The woman in Mark 5 didn’t wait for everything to be perfect before she reached out. She moved toward Jesus while she was still hurting. That’s what faith looks like. It’s not about having it all together. It’s about taking one small step toward the One who still has power.

If He could restore her, He can restore you too. No matter how heavy life feels right now, God hasn’t forgotten you. There’s still purpose beyond the pain. So stop letting fear do the talking. Keep your belief alive. Bring Jesus home, and watch how peace begins to settle where chaos once lived.
