For a long time I would wake up and tell myself I was going to work out. I meant it every time I said it. I could see in my mind how good I would feel afterward. But the day would slip away and I would say, “I’ll start tomorrow.”
That promise repeated itself more times than I can count.
What finally changed was a reset. I let go of the idea that everything had to be perfect from day one. I started with something small. A walk. A short stretch. A few minutes of movement. It did not look impressive on paper, but it gave me momentum. Slowly I stopped being the person who kept waiting for tomorrow. I became someone who showed up today.
If you have been caught in the same cycle, you are not alone. Wanting to start and never quite getting there does not mean you are weak or unmotivated. It might just mean you need a fresh way to begin. Sometimes the smallest step is the one that changes everything.
