They don’t always warn you about the quiet.
One minute, life is full of structure, roles, and routines—then something shifts. The uniform gets folded for the last time. The kids grow up. The career changes. And suddenly, you’re staring at a version of life that feels unfamiliar.
This space in between—where you’re no longer who you were, but not yet sure who you’re becoming—is something I understand deeply. And it’s the reason I created The Parakeet Group.
Transitions have a way of stirring up more than just logistics. They bring questions about identity, purpose, and direction. Whether you’re stepping away from military service, navigating a career shift, or simply trying to figure out what’s next, it can feel like the ground is shifting underneath you.
Coaching isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about creating space to explore the questions. It’s about slowing down long enough to hear your own voice, and building the confidence to make choices that feel like yours.
And then there’s the practical side—because life doesn’t pause during a transition. Finances still matter. Responsibilities don’t disappear. That’s why I also offer support around financial wellness, including helping people take a fresh look at their life insurance and long-term planning. These things may not be glamorous, but they give you room to breathe—and build.
The Parakeet Group was born from a belief that you don’t have to have everything figured out to start moving forward. You just need a safe place to land—and a little clarity on where to begin.
So if your life is shifting, and your nest doesn’t look quite like it used to, know that you’re not alone. You’re not off track. You’re just in between.
And there’s power in that place, too.
